New Event, New Theme, New Format

TEDxFolkestone have decided to take our 2021 event online, with a new theme and a fresh format. We’re looking for people who have a big idea around the theme of ‘A New Horizon’. Whether you’re pushing the boundaries of your field, on the frontline of a project that’s set to transform society, or have insight into what’s to come and how we can prepare for it, we want to hear from you.

Thinking of becoming a TEDxFolkestone speaker?

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a confident speaker or not. We have a dedicated team to guide, mentor and support you through the process.
This year we’re pushing the boundaries on creativity for your talks. All of our speakers will collaborate with a top creative video producer to record their talk before the big day. This gives you the opportunity to blend your message with visual arts to bring your talk to life. On the day of the event, you’ll be free to engage with the audience in a Q&A style conversation.
Applications to speak are open and the deadline is 15th September, so click here to submit your application now!
Like us on Facebook to join us for Pitch Nights and Q&A sessions with our speaker support team before then.

Thinking of attending?

Going online means we can welcome even more people to the event. We’ll be using fresh new technology, whilst staying true to the culture and values we’ve built in the last 4 years. As a part of the virtual audience, you’ll have the unique opportunity to interact with the speakers, each other and the TEDxFolkestone team.

You can also watch TEDxFolkestone curator Liu Batchelor talking more about the new format.
