Speaker Support lead

As the Mentor Lead, I look after the speakers as they draft, edit and then finally rehearse their talks ahead of the main day.  I’m involved with coaching, rehearsal and general cheerleading duties to ensure that the speakers are fully supported.  I also interview and take part in selecting the successful speakers from our list of applicants.

As an Armed Forces’ baby, I left Folkestone at a very young age to live in Singapore, Germany, Cyprus and then various locations throughout the UK before finally returning back here in 2011.  I’m a stenographer and have worked at the Old Bailey, the Royal Courts of Justice, and for many years served within the Royal Air Force, travelling around the world for most of my life, which was a lot of fun but these days I’m really happy to be living by the sea in our lovely town.
