TEDxFolkestone is a sell out

The second TEDxFolkestone has sold out weeks ahead of the event.

Eleven speakers will be exploring the theme Courage to step beyond, whether in life or business, at the event at the Quarterhouse on Saturday, June 23.

They include Lucy Beresford, writer, psychotherapist and broadcaster on LBC Radio; Britt Whyatt, author and blogger (She Who Bakes), and Cathy Sugden, the horseback heroine.

Liù Batchelor, the Folkestone-based coach and project leader, and a committee of like-minded professionals is organising TEDxFolkestone.

She said: “For just our second event in Folkestone to prove so popular is remarkable. The level of interest has been phenomenal and reflects the quality of the speakers we have lined up.

“While it is disappointing for those who haven’t been able to secure tickets, they don’t have to miss out altogether.  Signing up for updates on www.165.232.32.218 will ensure people are informed as soon as videos of the talks are available online.

“We hope the popularity of the day means we can make it an annual attraction.”
