Originally from Scotland, Gary has moved around a lot and travelled extensively – the adventurous way – across all continents. A few years ago, Gary found himself happily back in Folkestone, where he went to school.

Then, just as Gary sought to add the string of video production to his professional bow of storytelling (through journalism, marketing and copywriting), TEDx Folkestone announced an opportunity to learn this craft. Gary loved how supportive, driven and diverse the TEDx team were, and it wasn’t long before Gary went from assisting to directing some of the footage.

Gary is an avid hiker, reader, and diverse music listener – Freddie Mercury his hero. One ambition is to match his storytelling skills with his keen interest in the environment and animals, and effect positive behaviour change for the planet.
