Film has always been a passion of mine from a young age. For a number of years, I’ve been making a range of my own film projects.

I joined TEDxFolkestone at the end of 2018 with the drive to develop my camerawork and video editing skills. I was a member of the behind the scenes film crew, where I worked alongside an amazing, supportive team in filming speaker workshops. I had never been part of a team like this; the experience has been amazing. Prior to joining TEDx Folkestone, I did not realise I was going to take a big step out of my comfort zone and become Director of one of the behind the scenes documentaries. It is an experience I am now incredibly grateful for.

This year I am excited to develop my skills further as I join the Creative Video Development Team, where I will be involved in the creation of the TEDxFolkestone talk videos for 2020. The Coronavirus pandemic has brought about new and exciting challenges that I believe we have the skill-set and confidence to pull the event off; I am extremely excited to see the results. 

I grew up in Folkestone and I love the area. Folkestone is known for its creativity and I am grateful to be part of it. I also love the beach, especially Folkestone Harbour. It is a lovely area to have an event like TEDxFolkestone.
